| Resumen: | Studies on Colombian bryozoans have been very few and discontinuous and a comprehensive inventory of the species
recorded in Colombian waters has not yet been published. The checklist we present here includes 99 species that we accounted from published and unpublished works (Osburn
1947, Rozemeijer & Dulfer 1987, Reyes & Campos 1992, Flórez-Romero & Montoya-Cadavid 2004, INVEMARECOPETROL 2004) and material available at the Museum of Marine Natural History of Colombia (MHNMC). The study of Colombian Bryozoa is only just beginning, so
the present checklist must be regarded as preliminary. Some of the material listed here as belonging to common cosmopolitan species, may with further study turn out to
be distinct Caribbean or Western Atlantic members of large species complexes. The number of recorded species will surely grow rapidly as new research is carried out;
